Ubuntu Linux - Requirements

 

The minimum system requirements are:

 

• 300MHz x86 processor

• 64MB RAM

• 4GB hard drive

• VGA 640x480 resolution

 

Of course, this is the absolute bare minimum system that can be used, and the performance will be anything but startling.

 

The recommended minimum system should contain:

 

• 700MHz x86 processor

• 348MB RAM

• 8GB hard drive

• VGA 1024x768 resolution

 

As you would expect, any modern system will perform significantly better than these minimum specifications.
